Valerie is a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and has been with Herman + Cormany for 26 years. She has 38 years of experience in public and private accounting, including 10 years in the coal industry, and specializes in providing accounting, tax, and consulting services primarily to small businesses and individuals. Valerie also heads the firm’s trust and estate practice. She had served as the Treasurer for the West Virginia Youth Symphony Orchestra, Friends of Bluestone, Inc., and President of the Pride Band Boosters, Inc. when her children attended Capital High School. Valerie is a licensed, Certified Public Accountant in West Virginia.
